This project was conceived as a pavilion proposal in response to the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement (COP21), with the aim of conveying awareness of climate change to the citizens of Paris through the language of architecture.
The site is located at the plaza in front of Gare de l’Est in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. The starting point of the project was the sight of the plaza overwhelmed by parked motorcycles.

The core strategy of the design was to preserve as much of the existing site environment as possible including trees, grass, and bicycle parking areas while focusing on the issue of motorcycle congestion concentrated in the northern and eastern zones of the site. This clustering of vehicles contributes significantly to urban pollution and the heat island effect. The project sought to visually represent this phenomenon in order to raise environmental awareness. The excessive motorcycle parking was not treated merely as a problem to be eliminated, but rather as a communication device a way to address urban ecological issues through practical and positive engagement.
