What Does a Courtyard Mean in the Urban Context?

As children, we played in the front yard  a space where we could linger freely or move naturally into other spaces. It was more than just a place to stay; it was a point of transition, a mediator of relationships and everyday life.

This project proposes an open courtyard within the city, combining the openness of a park with the public nature of a creative performance facility. It is a space where anyone can pause, pass through, or stay freely and intuitively.

A series of programs unfold not only in the small theater, but also in the backyard, rooftop garden, and outdoor stage, transforming the site into an open stage for everyday culture.

The silhouettes cast on the façade hint at unseen movement beyond  an invitation to another world. Here, people will encounter moments of pause and connection within the rhythm of daily urban life.
